NEW ENTRANCE AT BOOT HILL MUSEUM

On Monday, January 21st, Boot Hill Museum opened their new building front entrance with ramp access to the public. The museum’s gift shop recently moved into the new building from the Great Western Hotel, the former museum entrance. Visitors now have access to the gift shop and lobby in the new building. The nine new exhibits in the building are still under construction and will not be available for the public to view until May of this year.

Every year in January, Boot Hill Museum hosts thousands of students for school tours for Kansas Day celebrations. These activities prompted staff at the museum to make the move into the new gift shop to offer more room and better access to the museum.

Visitors are encouraged to come see the gift shop and lobby in the new building. They will be able to visit the Front Street exhibits from the new gift shop entrance from now on. Boot Hill Museum is planning their grand opening celebrations on May 23rd and will have lots of fun activities, tours, food, and surprises that the public will be invited to. Ford County residents still receive free year-round admission.
