9. Explore the Arts
Dodge City’s community art walk, Final Friday, moves to the first Friday in December (Dec. 2) and becomes Frosty Friday. Patrons can expect the same inspiring art, refreshments, and sales, with most having a holiday twist.
8. Attend a Christmas Concert
On Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2:30 p.m. enjoy an afternoon of Live Christmas Music at the Hickory Hollow Pumpkin Patch when the Dodge City High School Madrigals perform.
The holiday magic and music stylings of Mannheim Steamroller’s Christmas will be on full display beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8 at the United Wireless Arena.

Join the Dodge City Cowboy Band at the Village Square Mall for its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 11.
7. See a Christmas Show
Enjoy the Depot Theater’s theatrical and spirited version of A Christmas Carol. The phantasmagoric qualities of this classic take center stage as a swirling, dancing chorus of ghosts weave you through this timeless holiday tale. Performances will run Dec. 2-4, 9-11, and 16-18.
Or celebrate the Christmas Season with the Depot Theater with your favorite carols and holiday songs during the Christmas Cabaret.
6. Take the Holiday Lights Tour
Climb aboard the Historic Trolley and enjoy an evening of lights, music, and fun with your friends and family. Tours offered every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. Go to visitdodgecity.org/LightTours for details and schedule.

5. Enjoy a Warm Cup of Christmas Tea
Join the Ford County Historical Society on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Mueller-Schmidt House (Home of Stone) for A Christmas Tea. Enjoy period-appropriate refreshments and caroling accompanied by the pump organ.
4. Eat Breakfast with Santa
On Saturday, Dec. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. the Boot Hill Museum will host a Breakfast with Santa Enjoy breakfast, crafts, story time, games, and get your picture taken with Santa.
Then on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. the Dodge City Family YMCA will host a Breakfast with Santa. Enjoy warm and savory biscuits and grave, coffee and juice while you play games, dance to music, and get your photo with Santa.
3. Make Gingerbread Houses
Explore your holiday creativity by building your very own Gingerbread House when Arrowhead West presents the Gingerbread House Party on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Western State Bank Expo Center. Enjoy hot chocolate and Christmas cookies while you build the perfect gingerbread house.

2. Take a Carriage Ride Through Downtown
Red Beard Coffee will again be hosting their Winter Extravaganza. Join them for winter family fun all December long. Carriage rides will be on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 17 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Other festivities at Red Beard during December include cinnamon roll bake off competition, cookie decorating contest, visits from Santa Claus, and special discounts.
1. Give Back
One of the best ways to enjoy the holidays this year is give back. You can help a family in need when you drop off a canned or non-perishable food items at the Depot Theater. While your there enjoy a bowl of award-winning holiday chili from the Dodge City Police Department. Sponsored by National Beef of Dodge City.
The Salvation Army of Dodge City has already kicked off its red kettle drive at various locations throughout the city. These donations provide gits to children who otherwise would go without and provide food, shelter, and utility assistance to those who need it all year round.
Compass Behavioral Health is accepting donations of slightly used or new gifts for the North Pole. Every year Compass allows children ages 5 to 18 to select and wrap a gift for a friend or family member of their choice, free of charge. The will be accepting donations of gift cards, toys, tools, socks, or anything you think someone else might enjoy through Dec. 21.
