Dodge City CVB Celebrates National Plan for Vacation Day

On January 31, 2023, the Dodge City Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) will be holding a drawing to celebrate National Plan for Vacation Day (NPVD), where one lucky winner will receive a night's stay for two in Dodge City. The winner will also receive tickets for area attractions and a Dodge City welcome basket.

National Plan for Vacation Day is an initiative powered by the U.S. Travel Association, which encourages Americans to plan their vacations at the beginning of the year. According to a study from Destination Analysts, those who take the time to plan their trips are more likely to use their paid time off. This initiative provides a great opportunity for Americans to prioritize their vacation planning and ensure they make the most of their time off. NPVD gives Americans a reason to start planning weekend getaways or vacations for the coming year.

"We are grateful to have such amazing industry partners that allow us to engage with travelers in new and exciting ways,” said Megan Welsh, director of the Dodge City Convention and Visitors Bureau. "Taking a vacation is a great way to recharge and reconnect with family, and our goal is to make the planning process as easy as possible."

To be eligible for the drawing, individuals must have contacted the Convention and Visitors Bureau since August 1, 2022, to request travel information for the upcoming year. The CVB will be joining other organizations across the country to celebrate National Plan for Vacation Day and encourage Americans to take time off.
