OES Service Dog raffle2019-06-01T00:00:00The Order of the Eastern Star is a service organization throughout the World.
We are raising funds to purchase/train Service Dogs for those in need of comfort.
The Dodge City OES group is raffling a beautiful quilt located at Birds of a Feather Quilt Shop in Dodge City. (509 N 2nd Ave, Suite 9 – the old Eckles mall) All funds raised will be donated to the Service Dog project.
Raffle tickets are $5.00
Drawing will be early Spring 2020

The parking lot facing Wyatt Earp Boulevard between Third and First Avenue fills up with area producers offering their products for sale. Some homemade baked items and arts and crafts are also available at times.

You can enjoy one of the best country-style meals in the American West. Witness exciting gunfights between the good guys and the bad guys, listen to Miss Kitty croon in the Long Branch while the Can-Can girls kick up their heels, and experience Dodge City’s history through many different historical reenactments. Interactive displays throughout the museum provide year-round entertainment and a unique learning experience.
It is recommended to make reservations for the Variety Show and Country-Style Dinner. Call 620-227-8188 to get your evening scheduled!

Hop on the Dodge City Trolley for a trip back to the 1870’s. Visit the original locations of the Longbranch Saloon, Gospel Hill, the “deadline”, Front Street and so much more. Tour Fort Dodge, follow the path of the Santa Fe Trail and learn a few colorful stories along the way. This is a great way to get your bearings with an overview of Dodge City. Then you can plot the rest of your visit by adding those locations pointed out on the tour.
Daily 1-hour narrated tours are offered Memorial weekend through Labor Day. The enclosed, air-conditioned trolley departs from the Visitor Information Center.

Kansas Liberty March 2019-07-06T09:00:00The Kansas Liberty March will begin at 9am with an information fair, featuring Kansas pro-life & liberty organizations. At 10am, there will be a liberty rally in the church sanctuary. Kansas Senate Chaplain, Pastor Cecil Washington, Congressman Dr. Roger Marshall, State Treasurer Jake LaTurner, and Kansans for Life President Mary Wilkinson will speak at the rally. They will be sharing information and energizing Christians to be active in protecting our faith, family, and freedom. The public is encouraged to participate in a patriotic flag parade at 1pm, where we will march and ride on floats throughout the Dodge City business district and main streets for 1.5 miles. Event information, parade rules & route, and t-shirt orders can be found on KansasRevival.com.
Hotel room blocks are set up at Best Western Plus Country Inn & Suites and Best Western North Edge Inn in Dodge City under the "Kansas Liberty March" block.

Dodge City A's vs. Denver Cougars2019-07-06T19:30:00The Dodge City A's have released their schedule for the 2019 baseball season, their first in the Kansas Collegiate League Baseball conference. The 37-game schedule includes 21 home games played at Cavalier Field which will all offer FREE ADMISSION. The A's will play fellow former Jayhawk League foes the Hays Larks and Liberal BeeJays 8 times each, splitting each series evenly home and away. The A's will also welcome new conference opponents with 4 game home stands as the Kansas Curve and the McPherson Pipeliners come to town the first two weeks of the season. The 2019 schedule also features 3 non-conference opponents. The A's will host U.S.A. Military Baseball on June 25th and play the Denver Cougars and Boulder Collegians 2 games a piece in early July. The A's wrap up their season in the league tournament July 20-23 where they will hope to secure a return ticket to the NBC World Series that kicks off July 27th.
