Thank you in joining us in celebrating celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week. We had a fantastic celebration with great engagement and look forward to next year's event. We will update this page as we get closer to the event.
It’s time for a staycation. Even if you’ve lived in your hometown forever, chances are there’s still a lot you haven’t seen or done. Today’s the day to pick a location. It could be anything, a park, museum, restaurant, coffee shop, etc., and go. Check it out, have some fun, and take some pictures. Make sure and tag them with #nttw22 and #visitdodgecity for an entry into the National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) prize drawing.
Stop by the Dodge City Visitor Information Center at 400 W. Wyatt Earp and get your National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) Red Sticker. Take a selfie wearing your sticker while visiting a local restaurant, landmark, or attraction and tag it with #nttw22 and #visitdodgecity for an entry into the NTTW prize drawing.
In honor of National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), today is officially Take-out Tuesday. Visit your favorite local restaurant and share photos of your meal, tagging the restaurant in your post. Include the hashtags #nttw22 and #takeouttuesday for an entry into the NTTW prize drawing.
We will be posting “unique” photos of Dodge City landmarks on our Instagram (@visitdodgecity). Guess the landmark using only the picture. Guess the landmark correctly to earn an entry into our National Travel & Tourism Week prize drawing.
Enjoy a locally crafted beverage. Whether you're enjoying a blended coffee from your favorite corner coffee shop, a sweet and chewy boba tea, an ice-cold, handcrafted beer, or a handmade cocktail crafted with locally made spirits. Snap a photo of your libation and tag it with #nttw22 and #visitdodgecity for an entry into the National Travel & Tourism Week prize drawing.
Today we take time to celebrate and honor those individuals who make the travel and tourism industry great. Without these countless, hardworking frontline service employees that power our local businesses, hotels, restaurants, and attractions Dodge City would not be able to serve and delight the hundreds of thousands of travelers that visit our community every year. Shoutout a frontline service employee who makes Dodge City great on social media.
Show some love for the local business owners and invest in our community by shopping local. Whether you grab a coffee from a neighborhood coffee shop, get a new ‘do at an independent salon, or shop for threads at a local boutique—your support makes a difference.
